Rezumat

Using online platforms has become a recurring daily activity, whether we consider shopping on marketplaces, connecting through social networks, using applications on mobile devices or the “simple” search using online search engines. All these platforms are successful businesses developed alongside the expansion of technology and the Internet itself. The management of this type of business focuses on reshaping the classic legal relationships between the involved subjects or on creating new relationships between them. Stakeholders receive a greater importance as well as the entire community and the ecosystem created around the platform. All these innovations in the business platform landscape are also reflected in the corporate structure and in the corporate governance, which is why corporate governance, as it is known from a legal perspective, seems to be reaching its limits, in the context of our study.
