About the Journal

The Romanian Journal of Private Law is a trademark of Editura Universul Juridic, which was created thanks to the initiative and dedication of Professor Marian Nicolae. The journal started in 2007, after discussions and in-depth studies of the editorial staff to see to what extent such a project could be well received by the academic and scientific world. In these 14 years of existence, the Journal has earned a well-deserved reputation, being now considered the best fundamental legal research journal in Romania.

Since 2017, the Romanian Journal of Private Law appears quarterly, and each issue is dedicated to a specific legal issue. Also since then, the Journal is managed by Prof. Valeriu Stoica, as Director, and Prof. Mircea Dan Bob, as Editor-in-Chief. Starting with issue 4/2020, they are joined by Prof. Ionuț-Florin Popa, as Deputy Director.
