Abstract

Transitional situations require exceptional, transitional measures. Just as in the first half of the twentieth century the institution of notation of possession was introduced in order to regulate real estate publicity systems, Law no. 7/1996 uses a similar technique to eliminate uncertainty when making systematic or sporadic entries in the cadastre. Used as a substitute, the notation in the land book tends to replace, at least in a jurisprudential orientation, the institution of usufruct with which it is, although not confused, very similar.
